Freshly plucked mountain grown Penang nutmeg is used to manufacture Joyous Farm Nutmeg Syrup. We have two types of Nutmeg Syrup: Nutmeg Syrup (Dark Reddish Brown in Colour) This is produced using a traditional recipe by steaming the fresh nutmeg pericarp with sugar for hours. It has no added preservatives, colourings & flavourings, White Nutmeg Syrup (Off-White in Colour) Produced by blending fresh nutmeg juice with sugar, giving a distinctive refreshing taste. Nutmeg (Myristica fragrans), a tropical fruit that is grown well in Penang, Malaysia. Nutmeg is rich in natural antioxidants, which are free radical scavengers. It is believed that consumption of nutmeg juice/extract helps to expel stomach gas, aid digestion & relieve cough. Mix nutmeg syrup with water to serve as juicy drink. Alternatively add syrup as topping on pancake/ ice-cream.
